About this work

Inserts of natural-colored bobbin lace in remnants of a linen pillowcase. The repeating pattern consists of a center line of linked four-lobed rosette flowers. Along the top and bottom edge runs a linking of half pointed ovals. The motifs are connected by plaits, which form the beginning of a mesh ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with cut-out edges. Along the lace insert in the linen a cut-out edge is made, work with gathered threads.
