Bobbin lace strip with linked curved flower stems

Insert of natural-colored bobbin lace: Old Flemish bobbin lace with braid ground. The repeating pattern consists of a chain of always the same curved flower stem, which starts at the bottom of the strip and runs with an arch along the top side and ends in a large rosette flower. The motifs are partly made in linen stitch with openwork edges and cutouts. Some (flower) leaves are made in buttonhole stitch and other leaves are formed by a snowflake ground or spider ground. The flower hearts of the large rosette flowers are provided with a six-pointed star made in form stitch. The motifs are connected by a braid ground with long braids. Top and bottom of the strip are finished straight, the bottom side provided with picots.
