Strip of bobbin lace with plume-shaped flower and star-shaped flower

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Binche lace. The repeating and continuous pattern consists of a plume-shaped flower and a star-shaped flower with five pointed petals on curved stems. Between the successive flowers a wavy leaf cuts across the stem of the plume-shaped flower. Under the stem of the star-shaped flower lies along the lower edge a thin plume-shaped flower or ear. The motifs are connected by a fine ground, a snowflake ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges and net stitch filling under the wavy leaf. The upper side of the strip is finished straight. The shallow shells along the lower side of the strip originate from the pattern and are finished with picots.
