Strip of machine-made lace with a chain of small circles and pointed ovals along the lower edge

Strip of natural-coloured machine lace: machine-made Valenciennes lace. The repeating pattern consists along the lower edge of the narrow strip of a row of alternating a circle with openwork centre and a pointed oval with therein a row of five small square cutouts. At the upper side the circles and ovals are connected by a machine-made Valenciennes ground. The shallow scalloped edge along the lower edge of the strip is finished with picots: under each circle three picots, under each oval six picots. The upper edge of the strip is finished straight.
