About this work

Strip of natural-colored needle lace: Alençon lace. Scatter motif of berry branches on a fine hexagonal mesh ground. The upper side is edged with a bobbin lace border. The pattern at the lower edge consists of circles filled with an even finer mesh ground. The circles partially overlap. The oval shapes formed thereby are filled with alternating decorative grounds and single wheel picots. Picoted arch border at the lower edge.
