High hat, claque, of black satin. The cylindrical crown tapers slightly upwards. The brim rises only on the side. Inside, a spring mechanism. Narrow grosgrain ribbon as a hatband. In a flat box lined with green paper. Address: gold stamp of the factory awarded in 1818 and 1876, EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE 1878 and two medallions..., (visiting card pasted on the lining): Jonkheer A. Lycklama à Nijeholt, (on the box): MANUFACTURE DE PARIS / CHAPEAUX MECANIQUES PERFECTIONNES.
