Strip of Appliqué Lace with Rosettes in Symmetrical Leafy Branches

Strip of natural-colored Brussels appliqué lace: needle lace applied on machine-made tulle. Scattered pattern of four rows of leafy branches on a fine hexagonal mesh ground. Along the lower edge a repeating motif of a symmetrical leafy branch with one rosette flower in the center and one rosette flower in each of the two volutes below it. The branch springs from a hanging flower with a drop-shaped heart, the petals of which are part of the scalloped edge along the bottom. Various decorative grounds in the motifs and relief contours of thread bundles. The upper side is finished with a bobbin lace edge.
