About this work

Border strip of natural-colored needle lace: Sedan lace or Argentan lace. Pattern with flowers, fruits, shells and horns of plenty. The motifs are made with festoon stitches with cutouts, decorative stitches and decorative grounds. In different motifs parts are accentuated with cords. The motifs are connected by a hexagonal mesh ground. The meshes are festooned and provided with picots. Scalloped edges along all sides result from the pattern and are finished with picots.
