Strip of Japanese appliqué lace with a chain border of geometric shapes and rosette flowers

Skirt strip of Brussels applied lace, bobbin lace and needle lace - Brussels mesh lace - applied on machine-made tulle. Scattered pattern with rosettes and a pattern increasing in density towards the shell edge. Along the top runs a light garland, consisting of a double, crossing wave line, which is always interrupted by three rosettes with a straight hanging leaf vine. Below that a repeating pattern of a loose standing flower branch, alternating between three rosette flowers and three hanging flowers. At the bottom runs a chain border with geometric shapes, squares intersected by diamonds, which are connected to each other by a large rosette flower. Under each diamond hangs a grape leaf and under each large rosette flower a cluster of small rosette flowers. These grape leaves and clusters of rosette flowers form the shallow shells along the bottom edge. The top is finished with a border of bobbin lace.
