Strip of machine-made tulle with a strip of bobbin lace with rosettes

Strip of machine-made tulle to which a narrower strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace: Lille lace is sewn. The pattern consists of a row of rosettes on the centre line, alternating with two square moesjes placed one above the other. The shells along the underside are formed by linked ovals, between which always one diagonally placed and one-sided directed stem sticks out. The sparse motifs are connected to each other by a fine lattice ground, a tulle ground. The sparse filling is made in linen stitch, with thicker and shiny contour threads. The moesjes and the centre of each oval consist of blocks made in buttonhole stitch. The upper side is finished straight and the shells along the underside are finished with picots.
