About this work
Strip of natural-colored linen with embroidery and lace embroidery: cutwork. The repeating pattern consists of embroidered diagonal lines, between which stands an openwork Z (with a straight instead of diagonal axis). The Z consists of a series of cut-out squares finished with blanket stitch and decorated with a kind of picots. Along the top of the strip a band is sewn that consists of openwork squares with spokes.
