Insert of bobbin lace edge with a wave line of rosette flowers

Insert of natural-colored bobbin lace, Flemish lace. The repeating pattern consists of a regular wave line of closely linked rosette flowers, with a flower stem under and above each wave. At the flower stem sits alternately a rosette flower with a large leaf and a stem with two smaller leaves. And at the end a drop-shaped flower heart between two heart-shaped flower petals. The motifs are connected by a lattice ground, a five-hole ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch. Around the flowers on the stems a decorative ground with balls is applied. The bottom and top sides are finished with a straight edge.
