About this work

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Flemish lace. The repeating pattern consists of two curved flower stems, which are linked with a leaf-shaped motif. The motifs are made in linen stitch with few cutouts, but with openwork edges. They are connected by a lattice ground, a five-hole ground. In one of the flowers and in the reserve a snowflake ground is used as ornamental ground. The top and bottom are finished straight.
