About this work

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, old Flemish lace. The repeating pattern consists of flower stems linked to form waves. Towards the wave valley stands a small four-lobed flower and towards the wave top a larger lobed flower. The motifs are connected by a lattice ground, a five-hole ground. The motifs are made in net stitch and linen stitch with openwork edges. The top and bottom sides of the strip are finished straight.
