Strip of needle lace with a scattered pattern of rosette flowers on stems, a leaf garland along the lower edge, an openwork oval and round flower

Strip of natural-coloured Brussels appliqué lace: needle lace applied to drochel ground. Under a scattered pattern of rosette flowers on a stem and at regular intervals a somewhat larger flower branch and a loose star flower runs along the lower edge of the strip a continuous pattern of a wavy sparse leaf garland. On the garland always an upright openwork oval flower and a hanging rounder flower. This rounder flower is also openwork and has, like the oval flower, a decorative filling of several radar picots. The motifs are connected to each other by a fine hexagonal lattice ground, a drochel ground. The upper side is finished straight. The straight lower side consists of small motifs, which form very faint shells and which are finished with picots.
