Strip of machine lace with scalloped edge of round roses between mirrored S-shaped lines

Strip of natural-coloured machine lace. The repeating pattern consists along the bottom of the strip of a round rose with nine petals and a drop-shaped cutout as flower heart. The flower is clamped between two mirrored S-shaped lines, which form an inverted heart-shaped field above the flower. The strip is filled above this repeating pattern, above the midline, by strips that form loose motifs: the contours of a drop, a small circle, C-motifs. The motifs are connected to each other by a machine 'plaited ground' with picots. In the heart-shaped field a rhomboid ornamental ground decorated with picots is applied. The top of the strip is finished with a straight edge to which the remains of another strip or a garment of tulle are visible. The short sides and bottom of the strip are finished with arches that appear festooned.
