About this work
Cast-iron stove plate. The composition is divided into three panels, separated by columns, and topped with images of vaults. The scenes show, from left to right: a man standing next to a star (?); a kneeling woman with a man behind her raising his arm, holding a scepter (?); the beheading of a man before the gate of a city by a man with a sword, next to whom stands a woman. Below the scenes is a panel with an inscription, only partially legible.
