About this work
Collar of natural-coloured mixed lace, bobbin lace - duchess lace - and machine-made mesh ground. Two-thirds of the collar displays along the inner edge a mesh ground, one-third a very open bar ground. Long stems stand radially on the mesh ground section, bending left and right on each half; the stems are topped by a wreath of star flowers and a palmette of sickle leaves on the open ground.
