About this work

A wide scalloped back piece runs gradually into pointed ends. The finely drawn edges show small C-scrolls, which additionally frame five round medallions in the back piece. Between them stand bell-shaped scallops with an oval at the top, an asymmetrical rocaille medallion in the heart and a wreath of leaves along the outside. In the back piece carnation and rose branches alternate with flower garlands. The ground above the medallions has seeded dots of four dots each. The ground in the medallions is unadorned. Brussels gauze lace.
