About this work

Gown strip of natural-coloured appliqué lace bobbin lace and some details in needle lace applied on machine-made tulle. Against a background studded with sequins move wavy branches from left to right. Round flower clusters like snowballs grow on them, alternated with single chrysanthemums. Twice the wave line is repeated, once by connected lying C-scrolls (needle lace) and furthermore by a godron edge, which forms the shells and which is each time crossed by an oval medallion on a shell-shaped leaf.
