About this work

Japanese strip of natural-coloured Brussels appliqué lace: needle lace applied on machine tulle. This type of lace is also known under the name: point d'Angleterre. The outer, ornamental border consists of palmettes, under pointed arches, alternated with an upright twig. The outside is finished straight by an eyelet border. A scattered pattern of hanging bell flowers fills the ground above the borders.
