Fichu of mixed lace with diamond pattern

Fichu of natural-colored mixed lace - bobbin lace in combination with needle lace - Brussels duchesse. An elongated rhombus shape shows an inner rhombus made of a ribbon, partly filled with flower and leaf branches, partly with blocks with rosettes. In the sharp points stand a very large and a small oval with wheel and star filling (needle lace), in the obtuse corners are placed ovals, of which one is crowned with a palmette. On the open plaited ground stands in the outer border a series of decreasing rhombuses, in the inner field a large symmetrical bouquet of branches with cluster and cup flowers, triple leaves, composite flowers and a rose.
