About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Lille lace. Neo-rococo pattern of rocailles or cartouches formed by whimsical feathered leaves and some flowers. The rocailles and cartouches lie against each other and fill most of the strip, they are filled with different decorative grounds, including rose grounds and coarser mesh fillings, including a mesh filling decorated with form stitches. The stacked motifs are connected to each other at the top of the strip by a tulle ground. The top of the strip is finished straight. The shallow scalloped border along the bottom is finished with picots.
