About this work

On the mesh ground, a Mechlin ground (also called ice ground), stands a running pattern of large rocailles with grid filling, which are connected with an arch decorated in the same way to a double branch springing from the flat shell edge. On the standing side branch grow grape leaves, on the lying ones grow roses and carnations. Mechlin lace.
