About this work
Teapot on a high foot with a bell-shaped lid and an urn-shaped finial, curved spout and C-shaped handle. The teapot itself is also urn-shaped, with convex knops at the bottom and concave, twisted knops at the top. Centrally on the body, twice a medallion surrounded by vines and strapwork in relief. In the medallion a crowned W, the letters 'BONE' and the year 1894. This teapot is part of a service that was looted in 1905 from the Raja of Bone.
