About this work

Collar of bobbin lace with drochel ground, Brabant bobbin lace. The collar has a pattern of strawflowers and along the scalloped lower edge a pattern of consecutive medallions, alternately enclosed by small and large C-shapes. Full work in linen stitch with bobbin relief and thick contour threads. The smallest motifs are applied. The scallops along the underside are edged with picots.
