Strip of bobbin lace with a cartouche with three small rosettes along the underside and a fan-shaped flower in the top

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Binche lace. The pattern consists of two symmetrical compositions, each crowned by a large halved flower along the upper side, flanked by a curved branch with three different flowers attached to it. In one composition below stand two stacked flowers between two leaves with a short feathered leaf at the end. In the other composition it concerns a cartouche with three rosette flowers along the underside and a fan-shaped flower in the top. The motifs are connected by a lattice ground, a five-hole ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with cutouts and openwork edges. In the cartouches, between the flower stems and in the flowers ornamental grounds are applied, in particular snowflake grounds. The top and bottom sides of the strip are finished straight, with the underside provided with picots. One of the short sides is finished with a linen band, with which a hem is made.
