About this work

Strip of natural bobbin lace, Binche lace. The pattern consists of a tangle of sparse s- and c-shaped tendrils with oval buds. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground, a Flemish lattice ground. The very sparse solid work is made in linen stitch with openwork edges. The top and bottom of the strip are finished straight, with the bottom provided with picots.
