Collar of Bobbin Lace with Attached Jabot

Collar with attached jabot of natural-colored Venetian bobbin lace. Strip model with a heart-shaped jabot hanging underneath. The predominantly symmetrical pattern consists of a wavy vine with five strongly curling side branches, each ending in a three- or five-lobed flower. The heart-shaped jabot is formed by three of such curling vines with the same flower at each end. Around the heart, on the curling vines, several short side branches that all curl in the same direction. The motifs are largely worked in linen stitch with here and there openwork edges. For some (flower) leaves a different stitch is used. The motifs are connected to each other by braids. The top side of the whole is finished straight. The curling vines and side branches form a scalloped edge along the other edges.
