Strip of bobbin lace with triangle and two obliquely placed ovals

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Binche lace. The pattern consists of two symmetrical compositions. One composition consists of a triangular motif with a ringed snowflake in the center. The other composition consists of two oval shapes turned away from each other and placed diagonally, which are connected at the bottom by a slightly curved strip. The triangular motif is connected at the bottom with the diagonally placed ovals by a slightly wider strip of three linked round forms. The strips and the contours of the triangle are made in linen stitch. The contours of the ovals are made in form stitch. The motifs are connected by a decorative ground, a ringed snowflake ground. As decorative ground a Paris ground is applied in the ovals and between the ovals a buttonhole lattice ground decorated with motifs in form stitch. The upper and lower sides of the strip are finished straight, the lower side provided with picots.
