Border of bobbin lace with standing ovals and a one-sided feathered leaf

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Lille lace. The pattern consists of a series of standing ovals between which a feathered leaf always projects diagonally upwards. The ovals are formed by a decorative ground of circles, a rose ground, and stand on the straight band running along the lower edge. The contours are executed with thicker and shiny threads. Contour threads also run along the band, executed in linen stitch, with the upper one used to form the motifs. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground, a tulle ground. The top and lower edges of the strip are finished straight, the lower edge provided with picots.
