About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Valenciennes lace. The continuous pattern consists along the bottom edge of the strip of a sequence of a small circle and a lying comma. Above that the strip consists of a mesh ground, a round Valenciennes ground. The motifs are made in worked linen stitch with worked edges. The top edge of the strip is finished straight. The shells along the bottom edge are finished with picots.
