About this work

Handkerchief of linen finished around with natural-colored bobbin lace: Dutch lace. The repeating and geometric pattern consists of a row of triangles in linen stitch. In the fields between them always connect three braids the triangles with each other and thus form on themselves again (inverted) triangles. Attached to the lace is an orange ribbon with a label with the text: "Royal Lace School; Queen Sophie; of the Netherlands; Sluis". On the other side of the label are two numbers, handwritten: "75" and "425".
