About this work
Strip of natural-colored machine lace: machine Valenciennes lace. The repeating pattern consists of a row of snowflakes above a wavy scalloped edge. The wavy line is formed from the mesh ground by a narrow strip that after each wave valley swings back with an arch. The motifs are provided with openwork edges and small cutouts and are connected to each other by a machine Valenciennes ground with square mesh. The upper edge of the strip is finished straight. The shallow scalloped edge along the lower edge is finished with picots.
