About this work

Stoneware jug on a high foot with a globular body and long neck with a pinched spout. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Several incised lines on the foot and a profile on the neck. Partially covered in cobalt blue. The front of the jug is covered in blue with a cut-out incised flower rosette containing the monogram 'IHS' surrounded by stylized floral vines. Westerwald.
