About this work
Stoneware jug on a high foot with a pear-shaped body and wide neck with a pinched spout. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Some incised lines and profiles on the neck and foot. Partially covered with cobalt blue. On the body, two horizontal bands with stamped flower rosettes. In between, a wide, rectangular panel with an incised monogram [?] with flower scrolls underneath. On either side of this, two narrow panels with flower scrolls. Blue lines on the neck and foot. Westerwald.
