About this work

Stoneware jug on a ring foot with a hexagonal body and wide neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Decorated in cobalt blue with a row of dots on the foot. The body features impressed zigzag lines (knibis) and two wavy lines in blue. The neck is divided on the front into triangular compartments, each containing a leafy vine. Westerwald.
