About this work
Upper part (lid) of a monstrance. The object is composed of parts that have been chased, hammered, cast, sawn or forged, and fastened by soldering, brazing or with the aid of pins. The design is poor. Notable are the two rosettes with five-petaled roses in the center on the spherical lid and the four projecting leaves on either side against the base of the lantern.
