About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Antwerp lace. The repeating pattern consists of a sparse vine in the form of an accolade with upward curling ends. The accolade is crowned in the middle by a flower. The motifs are connected by a trellis ground, a five-hole ground. The motifs are worked in linen stitch with openworked edges. The upper and lower sides are straight finished, with picots along the lower side.
