Bed warmer with engraved coat of arms

The object consists of six parts: the iron handle with the ring, to which the copper pot is riveted, the copper hinge, the copper lid, and the two cast decorative elements on the handle. In the domed lid, of which the center point has been enlarged to a hole, decorations are punched and stamped using a stamping mold, and holes in a six-pointed star shape are made. In the center, a coat of arms hanging from a cord is engraved: 1 three lozenges 2/1, 2 an eagle. The fields between the star points have a star in a rosette and other motifs indicated with granulated lines. Surrounding this is a rim of pointed ovals and lozenges applied in a similar manner. The rim of the lid is reinforced with iron wire. The profiled decorative element on the handle has a knob in the middle, and in the end piece a vase and a baluster can be recognized. The hinge pin and the hanging ring are missing.
