About this work

Fragment of a stoneware jug (schnelle) with a cylindrical, slightly tapering body. Handle and rim missing. Profiles above the foot and below the rim. On the body, in relief, three times a stamped and applied, elongated panel with in each a personification: Justice, Faith and Patience with the inscriptions 'DE GERECHTICHEIT', 'DER GHE[...]' and 'DE GEDVLT 1566'. Siegburg.
