Monument commemorating the folly of the year 1720. On a large wagon drawn by a jester, Fortune scatters shares of the Actiën. The cart is pulled by personifications of the South Sea and Mississippi companies, among others. Fame leads the wagon towards the workhouse and madhouse. Around the cart are merchants and victims. In the background on the right is the Quincampoix coffee house. At the bottom the emblem with the motto "Schijn Bedriegt" (Appearance Deceives) in Latin. Below the image the explanation of the scene in French and Dutch. Print 18 in the series Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid (The Great Mirror of Folly) with satirical prints on the Windhandel or Actiehandel of 1720.
