About this work

Outside on rising uneven ground, two men are sitting. The man on the left sits crouched on a raised stone pavement. He wears a hip cloth (veshti, lungi) reaching over the knees and an open shirt with long sleeves, the frayed lower hem of which lies over his knees. The man on the right sits with spread bent knees next to a curb on the ground, leaning his back against a rock formation. He also wears a long hip cloth, drawn up to the knees. Sheet 91 from a sketchbook with 117 sheets.
