Flintlock pistol

Flintlock pistol in Empire style. The lockplate is engraved with the maker's name. The barrel is fitted with a ring halfway; the front sight is of iron; stamped at the rear with ELG above a star in an oval and at the bottom with a lily. The stock is curved and ends in a flat butt cap; the grip is carved at the rear with grooves and cross-hatched on the sides in a panel. The brass furniture consists of two very short, closely placed ramrod tubes, a screw plate in two parts, each for a lock bolt, in the form of and engraved as an acanthus leaf, and the forked trigger guard engraved with flower calyxes, as is the cheek plate under the butt cap; the ramrod is fitted with a cowhorn cap.
