About this work
The lock has a pierced cock; the lockplate is engraved with flowers and foliage and a signature. The barrel is formed by a cluster of three barrels, held together by a ring in the shape of a trefoil; the edges are edged with acanthus leaves. The grip of the stock is of ebony and ends in a butt knob in the shape of a flower with an ivory knob in the middle and separated from the grip by a band inlaid with iron. The furniture consists of two ramrod tubes, hard-soldered to two of the barrels, a flat trigger guard and the ramrod.
