Ornamental sword

The cast silver hilt is chased and pierced with rococo scrollwork, laurel wreaths, medallions with small crowns above and trophies of arms above and on the pommel grouped flower cups; at the bottom are the city mark of The Hague, a date letter and the silversmith's mark stamped; the wooden grip is wound with silver band and twisted silver wire with braided grip rings at the bottom and top. The blade with hexagonal cross-section is blued at the top and etched with gilded arabesques, branching foliage and a panel with the name and address of the sword maker.
