About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) in his right hand, the barrel pointing upward. In his outstretched left hand, a burning match and a fork (musket fork), upon which he can place his weapon. This print is part of the series of 43 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
