About this work
Model of an optical telegraph on an octagonal base. The telegraph consists of a mast with three rotatable arms; these consist of a lattice work to keep their weight low, and are black on one side, on the other side, which only serves as a counterweight, white and openwork, so that this end is practically invisible at a distance. Each arm has six positions. On the base a half-octagonal hut with a pointed roof is built, which shows the inside and the operation of the signal mechanism.
