Model of a 16-cm Gun on a Pivot and Slide on Part of a Gun Deck

Model of a muzzle-loading gun on a rotating and sliding carriage on part of a ship's deck. The brass barrel, 34 cm long and with a caliber of 16 mm, thickens at the trunnion and again behind it; no decorative bands except the trunnion band. The rifling consists of six grooves. The breech is in the neck of the grape and is secured with a bracket. The piece has a percussion lock No. 1 (see NG-MC-1050), where the lock support projects behind the trunnion band, to which a mount can be attached. The carriage consists of two cheeks, two axle blocks without wheels, an inclined bed, and a brake mechanism. Elevation is achieved by means of an elevating screw on the rear axle block. The brake mechanism, attached to the front axle block, consists of a clamp for the runners of the carriage, which is tightened with a screw.
