Model of a 90-Gun Ship of the Line

Rigged block model. Seventy-six guns distributed over three decks; decks at five levels: poop deck, lower deck, middle deck, forecastle deck and half-deck with gangways, upper campanje. The figurehead is a Roman soldier with spear and raised shield, the quarter-knees are decorated with military trophies. Twisted stern and hollow wulf with two ports, stern of two storeys with side gallery and decorated with carving of vines, corner figures and two portrait medallions (one of Cornelis de Witt); side galleries of two storeys with carving of vines and an oval shield with a writing figure on military trophies. Straight rudder with square rudder post, steering wheel on the half-deck. The model is equipped with four anchors, double anchor bitts, two double capstans, a double bilge pump, two Y-shaped chimneys for the galley. The sheer is almost flat, a broad and a double bark keel and two deer keels. Round-spant. The model has a three-masted rig without sails, mizzenmast with yard.
